MDC Sharks vs. Indian River State College

The MDC Baseball team took on their next opponent, Indian River State College, in a three-game series. Unfortunately, this series had a rocky start. The first was scheduled on April 12, but due to the weather, the first game was postponed to further notice. The following two games were played as planned.  

 
Game 2 took place on April 14 in Fort Pierce, FL. The Sharks won against the Pioneers with the final score of 9-3. Wooyeoul Shin batted .666 with one run, one home run, and three RBIs. Joseph Zamora batted .100 with three runs and one RBI. Jose Hernandez batted .200 with one home run and four RBIs.
 
Game 3: 
The MDC Sharks hosted the third game on April 15. The Sharks won against the Pioneers with the final score of 2-1. Kader Rabagh pitched six innings with no runs and six strikeouts. The MDC Sharks had a fantastic comeback during this game. The Sharks were down by 1 in the ninth inning with two outs when D'Angelo Ortiz (Matthew Mateo as a pinch runner) hit a single, Jose Andara hit a single on a pop fly to center fielder, and Alex Ulloa hit a single to right fielder, which allows Matthew to scores which tied up the game 1-1. Adrian Salas was at bat when a wild pitch allowed Jose Andara to score on a passed ball. This game was definitely one for the history book. 
 

MDC Sharks won this series 2-0 and with a record of 12-5 in the conference and an overall round record of 28-12-1.
