Thomas White commits to Norfolk State University
After two seasons developing his game in Miami, Thomas White is taking the next step in his baseball career, committing to Norfolk State University. The right-handed hitter proved to be a steady contributor at the plate for the Sharks, bringing plate discipline and run production to the lineup.
Across 69 career games at Miami Dade College, White posted a .247 batting average, a strong .393 on-base percentage, and a .353 slugging percentage. He tallied 47 hits, including 6 doubles, 1 triple, and 4 home runs, while driving in 41 runs and drawing 31 walks. He also swiped 9 bases and struck out 63 times in 190 at-bats.
In his freshman campaign (2023–24), White hit .279 with a .403 OBP, knocking in 24 runs and collecting 29 hits. He followed that up in 2024–25 by drawing 18 walks in 37 games and continuing to show his ability to get on base, finishing with a .381 OBP despite a lower batting average.
Now bound for Norfolk State, White brings a solid bat, a mature approach at the plate, and valuable JUCO experience to the Spartans' program.
