MDC Men's Basketball Honors

The Miami Dade College Men's Basketball Team finished their 2015-16 season on a good note. Under Head Coach Stephen Cowherd and his assistant coaches Ward Griffith, and Kevin Ledoux the Sharks finished the season 16-15 overall, and 6-9 in conference play. This is the first time since the 2006-09 seasons that Miami Dade College Men's Basketball  has had three consecutive winning seasons 2013-14 (21-10, 7-5), 2014-15 (21-11, 8-4), and 2015-16 (16-15, 6-9).

In addition to finishing the season above (.500), and having three consecutive winning seasons there are several players who received All-Southern Conference Honors. Receiving All-Southern First Team Conference Honors was sophomore Marvin Jean-Pierre and freshmen Darius Williams. Sophomores Joe Mvuezolo Jr, and Abraham Traore both received All-Southern Conference Second Team Honors.
