Men's Basketball Fall Semester Recap
Top Three Players
As the first half of the season for the MDC Men's Basketball Team has come to a close, the MDC Sharks have had an exciting start to their season. To kick off their season, the Men's Basketball team traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio, and Erlanger, Kentucky, to participate in the Griffin Elite Classic for the first time. The Men's Basketball team also hosted their first annual Veteran's Day Classic this season. Overall, the Men's Basketball team had a successful first half of the season. The Men's Basketball team has faced challenging opponents; they prevailed with an overall record of 11-7. We want to highlight several players who stood out and left it all on the court: Dylan Edwards, Jamichael Stillwell, and Tyriek Weeks.
Dylan Edwards is a freshman from Prince George's County, Maryland, who started in five out of 18 games this season. Dylan averages 5.7 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.
Jamichael Stillwell is a freshman from Atlanta, Georgia, who started in 15 out of 18 games this season. Jamichael averages 13.7 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
Tyriek Weeks is a freshman from Warwick, Rhode Island, who started in 17 out of 18 games this season. Tyriek averages 16.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game.
