The Miami Dade College Men's Soccer squad dropped a 2–0 result against Indian Hills Community College on Saturday afternoon, as two quick second-half strikes made the difference.
The Sharks held their ground through the opening 45 minutes, limiting Indian Hills to four first-half shots and keeping the match scoreless behind steady play from goalkeeper Nicolo Sgura. The freshman keeper finished the day with one save in 90 minutes of action.
The breakthrough for Indian Hills came in the 63rd minute when Alessandro Peruz found the back of the net off a setup from Diego Lazaro. Just under four minutes later, the Warriors doubled their lead as Enzo de Almeida converted unassisted to push the scoreline to 2–0.
Despite a late push from Miami Dade, including second-half attempts from Daniele Malanga and Diego Luengo, the Sharks were unable to put a shot on target. Indian Hills held a decisive 11–4 edge in total shots and a 6–1 advantage in corner kicks.
