Sharks Power Through Weather Delay to Blank St. Thomas, 3–0

Despite a lengthy weather delay right before kickoff, Miami Dade stayed locked in and delivered a dominant 3–0 victory over St. Thomas University on Wednesday evening. The Sharks wasted no time asserting control once play resumed, showcasing poise on both ends of the field to secure their first shutout of the season.

Miami Dade jumped ahead early in the first half when Nico Preciado opened the scoring in the 8th minute off a well-placed assist from Jeremy Levivier. Just nine minutes later, the Frenchman set up another goal this time finding Javier Prieto, who doubled the Sharks' lead with a perfect finish in the 17th minute. The offensive chemistry between the two set the tone, as Miami Dade maintained steady pressure throughout the half.

In the second frame, the Sharks sealed the win when Facundo Ochoa found the back of the net in the 85th minute, assisted by Prieto. On the defensive side, goalkeeper Nicolo Sgura was a wall, recording seven saves to earn the clean sheet. Miami Dade outperformed St. Thomas, getting all seven of their shots on target while controlling possession for most of the match.

With confidence building and momentum on their side, Miami Dade now turns its attention to a key weekend matchup against USC Sumter on Saturday looking to carry their sharp form and renewed energy into what could be another statement performance for the Sharks.
