Ochoa Keeps It in the 305
After an outstanding career at Miami Dade, Facundo Ochoa is staying in South Florida, transferring to St. Thomas University to continue his collegiate soccer career. The 2024 FCSAA Conference Player of the Year, Ochoa established himself as one of the premier attacking players in the conference and leaves the Sharks as one of the program's most decorated offensive standouts.
Ochoa made an immediate impact during his freshman season, putting together one of the top campaigns in the FCSAA. He totaled 13 goals, six assists, and 32 points, adding four game-winning goals while earning Conference Player of the Year honors. His ability to create chances, finish in front of goal, and consistently deliver in big moments made him the centerpiece of Miami Dade's attack.
Over two seasons, Ochoa appeared in 37 matches, totaling 15 goals, 11 assists, and 41 points. Whether finding the back of the net or creating opportunities for teammates, he proved to be a dynamic offensive threat whose technical ability and soccer IQ consistently challenged opposing defenses.
Now, Ochoa will continue his career at St. Thomas University, where he'll bring a proven scoring touch, creativity in the attacking third, and the experience of one of the FCSAA's top players.
