Miami Dade Falls in Game Two as Santa Fe Completes Doubleheader Sweep
Miami, FL - Miami Dade built an early lead but No. 7 Santa Fe rallied late to take game two of Thursday's doubleheader, 10-3, completing the sweep.
The Sharks responded well after dropping the opener, battling back from an early deficit to take the lead midway through the game. Santa Fe struck first in the third inning on a sacrifice fly from Miranda Murch, but Miami Dade answered in the bottom half when Ebba Sofia Eriksson drove in Coral Latshaw to even the score at 1-1.
Miami Dade then grabbed control in the fourth. Daniela Olvera Rodriguez delivered an RBI double down the right field line to score Sofia Reyes, and a sacrifice fly from Leyani Viruet plated Valeria Rivera to give the Sharks a 3-1 advantage.

The Sharks stayed within striking distance into the late innings, but Santa Fe broke the game open in the seventh. Haylee McCrea added an RBI single before McKenna O'Sullivan launched a grand slam to extend the lead to 10-3 and seal the win.
Caroline Mito led Miami Dade offensively once again, going 2-for-4 with a stolen base. Maria Julia Pedroso also recorded two hits, while Rodriguez added a double and an RBI. The Sharks finished with six hits in the loss.
