Player Spotlight- Florida College Women's Basketball Shootout Tournament

This past weekend, The MDC Lady Sharks traveled to Daytona Beach, FL, to participate in Florida College Women's Basketball Shootout Tournament at Daytona State College. On the tournament's first day, the Lady Sharks played against Daytona State College and were defeated by the Falcons; the final score was 71-53. On the tournament's second day, the Lady Sharks played against Northwest Florida State College and were also defeated by the Raiders; the final score was 71-45.  

Even though the results were not in the Lady Sharks' favor, two players stood out: Jaya Nelson and Iva Cholakoska. Iva had an average of 14 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals during the tournament.
