Clark Atlanta Adds Forward KaMariya Simmons
Clark Atlanta University has added a key piece to its frontcourt with the signing of KaMariya Simmons, a hardworking forward who spent the past two seasons developing her game at Miami Dade.
Over the course of her career, Simmons appeared in 60 games with 25 starts, averaging 3.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per game. While not a high-volume scorer, Simmons made the most of her opportunities, shooting 42.7% from the field across both seasons. She also contributed on the boards and brought a strong physical presence in the paint.
During her freshman year, Simmons posted 5.5 points per game in just over 10 minutes a night, while shooting 66.0% from the free throw line and contributing 4.5 rebounds. In her second year, her minutes decreased slightly, but she remained efficient, connecting on 43.8% of her shots and continuing to do the dirty work for her team.
What Simmons brings to Clark Atlanta isn't flashy — it's toughness, efficiency, and a team-first attitude. Her rebounding instincts, hustle, and experience in a competitive JUCO program make her a solid addition to the Panthers as they continue to build a resilient and well-rounded roster for the upcoming season.
