Clearia Peterson Takes Her Talents to Alabama State
After a dominant freshman campaign at Miami Dade, Clearia Peterson is headed to Alabama State University to continue her basketball journey at the Division I level.
The 6'1" forward made a major impact in her first collegiate season, averaging an impressive 18.1 points and 12.1 rebounds per game. Her inside presence and relentless motor helped power the Sharks on both ends of the floor. Peterson shot an efficient 48.4% from the field, using her size and touch around the basket to score consistently against any defense.
While she showed flashes from beyond the arc, it was her rebounding and interior scoring that separated her from the pack. She added 1.5 assists per game, rounding out a well-balanced stat line that caught the attention of programs around the country.
Now, Peterson will suit up for Alabama State University, bringing size, strength, and productivity to the Hornets' frontcourt. With her freshman year numbers and upside, she's expected to make an immediate impact in the SWAC.
