Bio
With a lifelong dedication to soccer as both a player and coach, Mario Concha brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Miami Dade College as the Women’s Assistant Soccer Coach.
A South Florida native, Concha played collegiately at St. Thomas University from 1998 to 2002, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and was named to the National Dean’s List. His playing career extended beyond college, featuring stints with Miami Strike Force PDL, Miami Breakers USISL, and Aurora FC in Bolivia.
Transitioning into coaching, Concha has built an impressive resume across multiple levels of the game. He began as an assistant men’s coach at St. Thomas University, helping lead the team to a conference championship and a national tournament appearance. He went on to coach at Christopher Columbus High School, where he guided the varsity team to regional finals. His experience also includes working with the New York Red Bulls Training Academy, where he developed youth training programs and provided game-day analysis.
Concha’s passion for futsal led him to establish Gauchito United Futsal Club in 2017, where he serves as Founder and Sporting Director. Under his leadership, the club has seen exponential growth, winning multiple regional championships and developing top-tier youth talent. Additionally, he has played a key role in player development at Kendall Soccer Coalition Developmental Academy and Miami Futbol Academy Rush.
Since joining Miami Dade College in 2024, Concha has been instrumental in launching the women’s soccer program. He played a vital role in scouting and recruiting the inaugural roster, helping lead the team to a 10-5 record and a #19 national ranking in its first season.
Holding an impressive array of coaching credentials—including USSF National A, B, C, D, E, and F Licenses, as well as multiple NSCAA diplomas—Concha remains committed to fostering player growth and excellence at every level.
