Miami Dade's Romina Cornelio received the Ilida Medero Award, presented to the Division 1 FCSAA & NJCAA Region 8 Player of the Year, for the second straight season after finishing second in the state in kills per set with 3.36 and putting together a .340 hitting percentage which was also second-best among FCSAA attackers.
