Sharks Make Quick Work of the Saints
The Miami Dade Sharks continued their strong form at home, cruising past Santa Fe College in straight sets to notch their 17th win of the season and improve to 17–2 overall, 6–1 in conference play.
Miami Dade came out sharp from the opening whistle, controlling the tempo with a .351 hitting percentage in the first set and never letting up. Angelica Rodriguez led the offensive charge with 14 kills on an impressive .423 clip, while Luyeisy Márquez-Moreno followed closely behind with 13 kills, two service aces, and 15.5 total points. Setter Eleonora Gicheva once again orchestrated the offense, tallying 27 assists, 11 digs, and two aces, while libero Katianna Mejía Betancur anchored the back row with a match-high 14 digs.
The Sharks dominated statistically, hitting .306 as a team while holding the Saints to just .082. Miami Dade's defense also stood tall, limiting Santa Fe's hitters and forcing 17 attack errors over three sets.
With another commanding win in the books, the Sharks will now turn their focus to the weekend as they prepare to face Daytona State on Saturday.
